We want to serve God faithfully as those who have found in His Word the way of life that brings his blessings to all our labors and relationships. We want to share those blessings with others by demonstrating God's love in Jesus Christ. As He brought renewed life to the sick, the needy and the spiritually lost, we want our church to be a place of healing, help and new spiritual life. As we travel life's road we seek God's daily guidance. We invite you to share the journey with us as we learn God's ways and learn to rely upon His faithfulness to us in all we do. To those who seek Him He promises love, joy, and peace. May we share these blessings with you?

Worship is our grateful response to God for all the blessings of life which He bestows upon us. We gather to worship  each Sunday at 10:00 AM to hear God's Word, sing hymns of praise, and bring our joys and needs to God in prayer. We share the sacrament of Communion on the first Sunday of each month. In this we reaffirm our faith and fellowship with God and each other, remembering the infinite love of God revealed in the cross of Christ. Our Sunday School meets at the same time as our worship service at 10:00 AM.

We operate a Food Pantry that provides food to over 900 people each month. A soup kitchen serves free hot meals two evenings each week.  We offer a Vacation Bible Camp each summer. Our members engage in Bible studies, Saturday retreats, and fund raisers to serve God's needy people.

We are the Middle Island Congregational United Church of Christ. This congregation was formed in 1982 as a part of the larger UCC (United Church of Christ) and as a seed church from other UCC churches in our area.

After many years of trying to design and build a new church which was very expensive, the congregation voted to sell the property at 645 Middle Country Road and purchase the 1838 historic landmark church and 2 additional buildings at 271 Middle Country Road. As of Aug. 31, 2009, MIUCC owns the 1.2 acres at 271 Middle Country Road. A major restoration project is underway to preserve the historic church. The historic church allows the growth of the important minstries that MIUCC has provided to the community. Contributions to the church buildng fund are greatly appreciated.

Outreach and Mission

The church has a food pantry that feeds many people each week. It also has a soup kitchen sponsored by the Interfaith Nutrition Network.  Vacation Bible Camp is open to all children each summer. Funds are raised for Church World Service CROP Walk each year. Gifts are wrapped and sent to needy children via Christmas Child.
Christian Education
Enrollment is always open. We bring young adults and children into the family of Christ and teach them His love. Young adults who undergo confirmation studies are guided into church membership and church government. Youth and adults volunteer at mission camps in the summer. Sign up for the Summer Vacation Bible School.
Adult Bible studies and retreats are enjoyed through the year.
